Sur la lancette de gauche, saint Matthieu écrit son évangile sous l’inspiration d’un ange. Sur la lancette de droite, saint Marc tient un livre et une plume, un lion couché à ses pieds. Sous les deux lancettes, deux prétendues armes anciennes de Genève.
