Das zwischen zwei Lorbeerzweige gesetzte Vollwappen Manuel wird von einer blattbekränzten Leiste in der Art eines Bilderrahmens umfasst. Es befindet sich über der fragmentarisch erhaltenen Stifterinschrift.

State of Conservation and Restorations

Die erhaltenen, in mehrere Stücke zerbrochenen Fragmente lassen nicht mehr genau erkennen, wie die Scheibe aufgebaut war (vorhanden ist nur noch knapp die Hälfte des ganzen Glasbestandes). Einzelne Gläser stark korrodiert.

Technique

Farbloses Glas; Bemalung mit Schwarzlot, Silbergelb, Eisenrot und blauer Schmelzfarbe.

Research

Die in der Art eines Bilderrahmens gestaltete Wappenumfassung verbindet das vorliegende Glasmalereifragment mit der Berner Standesscheibe aus der Berner Burgerkanzlei im Bernischen Historischen Museum (BHM Bern, Inv. 6621), die um 1700 von Jakob Forrer geschaffen worden sein dürfte.
