    Description

    Jesus ist am Kreuz mit übereinandergeschlagenen Beinen im Dreinageltypus dargestellt. Über seinem nach links geneigten Kopf mit dem goldfarbenen Nimbus ist schräg die INRI-Schrifttafel angebracht. Der Kruzifix hebt sich von einem milchig-weissen Grund ab, der mit dekorativen roten Blumen mit grünen Blättern übersät ist.
    Breiter, profilierter, brauner Originalrahmen mit der originalen Durchbohrung für die Aufhängung.
    Hinten am Rahmen aufgeklebtes, mit brauner Tinte handbeschriftetes, rückseitig deutsch bedrucktes Papier.

    Die horror-vacui-artige Füllung des Hintergrundes mit Blumen gehört bei Kreuzigungsdarstellungen zum markantesten Charakteristikum der niederschlesischen Hinterglasmalereien. Das Bild Christi am Kreuz bildet dabei eine der häufigsten Darstellungen dieser Malschule (s. Malarstwo na szkle 2009, S. 111–120).
