Description

Ovale Schliffscheibe mit Darstellung eines mit vier Pferden pflügenden Bauern, daneben ein die Geisel schwingender Fuhrmann. Im oberen Scheibendrittel Rocaillen, Blumen und Sterngitterwerk, am Scheibenfuss ein Spruch. Bordüre mit Kugelungen.

Zu allen dingen und Fürnemmen soll man Gottes Beistand kennen und im allein also vertrauen auch wan wir unsere heusser bauen.

Research

Die Scheibe trägt keine Jahreszahl, ist aber wahrscheinlich der im Bernischen Historischen Museum befindlichen Scheibe des Hans Murer und der Magdalena Kunz (Inv. Nr. 15351; Stähelin-Paravicini, 1926, Nr. 521; Jahrbuch BHM, 1923, S. 117–119, 128) zugehörig.
