Rundbogenfenster mit Grisaille-Damastmuster (Rautenverglasung), Arkadenrahmung und üppiger floraler Randverzierung. Im unteren Drittel Darstellung eines barocken Tabernakels mit Kelch und Hostie in Strahlenkranz über einer Schriftkartusche. Im Bogenfeld Ranken- und Blütenmotiv auf Damasthintergrund. Grundfarben Gelb, Blau, Rot, Grün.

Research

Die Fenster der Kirche St. Martin in Warth wurden 1895 durch die Firma Friedrich Berbig in Zürich hergestellt. Im Juni war Berbig, dessen Fenster der St. Nikolaus-Kirche in Frauenfeld (ersetzt durch einen Neubau 1904–1906) der Kirchenvorsteherschaft bekannt waren, damit beauftragt worden, einen Kostenvoranschlag zu erstellen (Katholisches Kirchgemeindearchiv Warth, B 13.4.05: Pflegschaftsprotokoll der Pfarrei Warth 1859-1900, §4274, §4282 und §4289). Ursprünglich waren mehrere Fenster mit figürlichen Darstellungen gewünscht (hl. Martin, hl. Victoria, Herz Jesu), aufgrund der Mehrkosten von 275 Fr. begnügte man sich aber mit Ornamentfenstern und einer Darstellung des Tabernakels mit Bibelzitat (n II) (Katholisches Kirchgemeindearchiv Warth, B 13.4.05: Pflegschaftsprotokoll der Pfarrei Warth 1859-1900, §4290, §4295 und §4298). Nicht definitiv geklärt ist, ob die insgesamt fünf Rosettenfenster alle von 1895 datieren.
Mit TG_971, TG_979 und TG_980 vergleichbare damaszierte Fenster hatte Berbig bereits früher für die katholische Kirche St. Johann in Tobel (1893; TG_530TG_532) hergestellt.
