    Als Schutzpatron der Stadt und des Bistums St. Gallen ist die Figur des heiligen Gallus ein wiederkehrendes Motiv im Werk von Heinrich Stäubli (siehe auch HS_629). Eine ähnliche Komposition von Heiliger, stehender Bär und Kantonswappen setzte Stäubli in einer Figurenscheibe für eine Fensterverglasung im Rathaus Goldach SG um (HS_1065).
