    State of Preservations and Restorations

    Fragment de vitrail encadré d’un cadre rectangulaire de bois moderne, quelques rayures, restauré en 1923 par Charles Wasem, nettoyé en 2004 par G. Bagnardi.

    Research

    Bien que ce fragment ait jusqu’alors été daté du XVe ou du XVIe siècles, la régularité des verres et la technique d’exécution mènent à considérer une création au XIXe siècle. Il pourrait cependant s’agir d’une copie d’un vitrail des XVe ou XVIe siècles. En l’état, il n’a à ce jour été possible d’identifier ni le peintre verrier, ni la localisation d’origine, ni le modèle iconographique du panneau.
