    Research

    Samuel Willading (1706–1778), Sohn des Emanuel (1673–1738), war Iseler in Bern sowie Hauptmann und Vogt zu Romainmôtier. 1749 wurde er Landvogt zu Bonmont sowie 1764 resp. 1775 Sechzehner. Seit 1740 war er mit Rosina May (1723–1774) verheiratet (HBLS 7/1934, S. 542; Kessel 2015).

    Das vorliegende Werk und die im Bernischen Historischen Museum befindlichen Scheiben Wild von 1748 (BHM Bern, Inv. 4998), Knecht von 1746 (BHM Bern, Inv. 4995) und Herzog von 1746 (BHM Bern, Inv. 4996) wurden wahrscheinlich gemeinsam für denselben Ort geschaffen. Sie weisen Parallelen zu den von Samuel Küpfer stammenden Scheiben aus der Kirche Grafenried auf und lassen sich somit diesem Glasmaler zuschreiben.
