Weerswilen ist eine ehemalige Ortsgemeinde im Bezirk Weinfelden. 1711–98 war das Gericht Weerswilen im Besitz der Stadt Zürich.
Laut Inschrift hat das dort ansässige Ehepaar Jakob Schalch und Ursula Brenner die vorliegende Scheibe ihrem Schwiegersohn geschenkt.
